These hefty, superbly beefy Buffalo NY Strip Steaks are one of our great favorites come swimwear season. The reason? Buffalo meat is amazingly lean, with fewer calories, fat and cholesterol than even chicken or fish. This means we can grill them up al summer long, without worrying about our waistlines.
We also are wild about the flavor of bison, tasty and hearty, but with a natural sweetness and grassy flavor that never gets gamey. A high level of moisture on the meat gives it a wonderful juiciness.
Our grass-fed buffalo steaks are sourced from ranches in North America from humanely raised herds of bison that are allowed to graze freely on enclosed prairies, our Bison is never given antibiotics or hormones.
Cooking with buffalo strip steak: Medium-rare is the perfect cooking point for buffalo beef. The natural leanness of buffalo beef makes the cooking process faster, so we suggest keeping an eye on your grass-fed buffalo steaks while they grill or roast.
