Apple Cider Kurobuta Pork Chops Recipe Instructions

Ingredients

  • 4 Kurobuta Berkshire Pork Chops
  • 1 large shallot, diced
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon old fashioned mustard
  • 1 cup of Apple Cider beer
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 twigs of rosemary (optional, for garnish)
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Remove the pork and salt and pepper both sides.
  2. Bring a large sauté pan to a high heat with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear the pork on both sides until turns a golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the pork and set aside.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium low and add the shallots, honey and mustard and cook until soft. Then add the sliced apples and cranberries, and mix gently. Raise the heat to medium high and return the pork to the pan. Add the Cider beer then stir occasionally until the apples slightly soft, approximately 5-8 minutes. The apples should still have a bit of firmness, they shouldn’t be mushy.
  4. Remove from heat and rest for 2-3 minutes, then serve.
